Calm Down And Sleep

IMG_2981_web

I stared at this lamp for about 20 minutes before I finally fell asleep for a nap at Revelations 5. I had the whole room to myself, a bottle of vodka that wasn't getting me drunk, and Elf playing on the TV. I could have gone downstairs and partied. But I realized at that exact moment, I would have enjoyed a nap more.

I woke up 45 minutes later, the credits rolling from Elf, and went downstairs. I stood in the back of the room until people I knew eventually started to show up. I had a nice time.

The holiday season has been exhausting. But it's been wonderful. It's finally narrowed down to a close after lots of parties and good times. Christmas was filled with its usual running around. I love being able to see so many people in one day though. My sister was home from Nottingham and my brother was home from New York. Mike came home Christmas Eve from New York. We spent the day with family. Mike and I spent New Years in Springfield with our friends at UNITED, which was, in my opinion, Beatdown Production's best party to date. I can't even explain how much fun I had. I sure as hell haven't had that much fun at a party in a long time. I would post a photo of me from the party, but I look sweaty and gross in all of them. So here's Chris and Paul spinning (my favorite set of the night), with a cameo from Clinto.

I am moving next week. So I'm going around now, starting to say my byes. Sunday is my last shift at Plan B. Next Friday is my last day at the studio. The only downside of moving to the city is going to be missing all my friends that I've made here. But I'm only a two hour train ride and one hour car ride away, people. I'll be back to visit. I promise.

Well, Good Eats is over. I can still watch Unwrapped.
